Helping your cat adjust to the new WHISKAS® recipe

We know change can feel like a big deal — for you and for your cat! Every cat is unique, and some may adapt to new products whilst others may take a little longer to settle into something new. ​So, we’ve created some simple tips to help you (and your cat!) make the switch with confidence​.

Why the change?

We’ve updated WHISKAS® Dry, carefully crafting a new recipe to include high protein, crunchy, creamy pockets. Our new recipe promises to bring even more taste, texture, and enjoyment to mealtimes, as with all WHISKAS products it remains 100% nutritionally balanced bringing everything your cat needs into one bowl.​ If your cat already loves WHISKAS®, they may notice the addition of highly palatable crunchy creamy pockets as an addition to the kibble they already know and love. But if your furry friend is new to WHISKAS® DRY or is a little sensitive to change, these steps can really help guide you on how to best transition from one food to another.​

Starting out:

Mix a small amount of the new WHISKAS® recipe with your cat’s current food. Gradually increase the amount over 7–10 days, so your cat has time to adjust at their own pace.​

Be patient:

Cats can be cautious with new flavours and textures (just like us with food!). Don’t worry if they turn their nose up at first, they are known for sniffing out the smallest changes in look, smell and taste - keep offering it in a calm, relaxed setting.​

Keep it interesting:

Just like humans, cats get bored of the same thing every day. The new WHISKAS® Dry with Pockets offers a mix of textures and flavours — including delicious creamy, crunchy pockets — to keep mealtimes exciting.​
